Borussia Dortmund Head Coach Lucien Favre acknowledged that the team's upcoming Bundesliga clash against FC Schalke 04 is "a special match" during a press conference in Dortmund on Thursday.
The game on Saturday will the be the first installment of the Ruhr derby since Favre took the helm at Dortmund.
Schalke and Dortmund share a long rivalry. Both sides herald from working-class coal-mining towns, less than an hour's drive apart, in the Ruhr region in western Germany.
This time around Dortmund is heavily favoured to win as they are currently topping the league with 10 wins, zero losses and 33 points, while Schalke sit at 11th place.
