The German military sent two trucks to a small town in Bavaria on Thursday in order to help clear up the snow that has been piling up during recent bouts of snowfall.

Several towns across Bavaria have become covered in snow over the past few days, with several having been cut off from the outside world.

The mayor of Mittenwald explained that the German military had provided two trucks in order to help transport snow which is being removed by ploughs. Local farmers are also helping out with their machinery, he said.
