As the age-cheating scandal rocked the CECAFA Under-17 Challenge Cup in Burundi, the West Africa Football Union is getting ready for the inaugural Under-20 Championship. Eight teams will take part in the ten-day tournament that will be held in Liberia. Gambia's Young Scorpions are putting the final touches on their preparations ahead of the tournament that will also involve Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Mali, and Guinea.
