According to a report by Reuters, French authorities warned of 'great violence' and rioting this weekend in Paris, as senior ministers look to defuse a wave of public anger. Despite rescinding plans to raise fuel taxes, President Emmanuel Macron has continued to struggle with the worst nation-wide revolt in central Paris since 1968. Reuters reports that an official in Macron's office claimed that intelligence suggests some protesters would come to the capital on Saturday 'to vandalize and to kill.' Prime Minister Edouard Philippe reportedly announced that 65,000 security personnel would be deployed across the country in an attempt to keep the peace.
