France: 'Yellow Vest' protesters hit Nantes

Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Nantes on Saturday, as 'Yellow Vest' protests entered their ninth week.

Police deployed teargas to disperse the crowd, several rubbish bins were set on fire.

The 'Yellow Vest' movement emerged after French President Emmanuel Macron announced hikes in fuel price taxes to encourage a transition towards greener energy.

The French government have now suspended the prices hikes, however, protests have continued.
