Thousands of students gathered on the streets of Paris on Friday to demand action from the government on climate change.

Footage shows the protesters marching past landmarks such as the Pantheon and the Invalides, with signs and banners, chanting that the lack of action is a crime against humanity.

"We're protesting today the government's inaction on the climate, because we have a government that claims to be committed to ecology," said Melanie Luce of the Unef student union. "It claims it wants to 'make the planet great again,' but in reality, we can't see much action."
