Paris’ Champs Elysees boulevard was reopened on Friday morning, after Thursday evening’s deadly shooting that killed one and injured two police officers at the avenue.
While the investigation is ongoing, French President Francois Hollande already stated that the attack is believed to be a "terrorist" act.
Overnight armed police raided property at the town of Chelles which is reported to be the family house of the main suspect, identified as Karim Cheurfi, a 39-year-old with previous police record.
One police officer was killed and two others injured during a deadly shooting at the Champs-Elysees in central Paris, Thursday. The assailant was reportedly shot and killed by police while attempting to run away.
