The stunning news of the provisional suspension of Kenya's former world marathon record holder, Wilson Kipsang for anti-doping rules violations has left a sour taste in the distance running powerhouse and athletics fraternity at large. The Athletics Integrity Unit said on its Twitter account on Friday that Kipsang, the 2012 Olympics bronze medallist and winner of multiple marathon majors, has been suspended for whereabouts failures and tampering with samples. On the other hand, his management Volare Sports has emphasized in a statement that the AIU charge against Kipsang was not a case of use of doping. The 37 year-old Kipsang is a twice winner of the London Marathon and has a personal best of two hours, 3 minutes, 13 seconds -- making him the equal sixth-fastest man in history.
