According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said that the European Union will not renegotiate the Brexit deal that Prime Minister Theresa May agreed to, as concerns grow that May's successor could trigger a confrontation with the bloc. Reuters reports that Brexit remains up in the air after May announced her plan to step down, triggering a leadership struggle in the ruling Conservative Party that could result in a new prime minister looking to make a more decisive break with the EU. Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, one of the candidates, reportedly said that it would be 'political suicide' to pursue a no-deal Brexit, following last week's claims by Boris Johnson that Britain should leave with or without a deal by the end of October.
