Mulled wine isn't a hard drink to make on the stove.

But who wants to stand around, watching a simmering pot?

According to LifeHacker, it's possible to press your ever-versatile Instapot into service.

Just prepare your basic mulled wine recipe, minus honey, liqueur, and garnishes, and put in the Instapot.

Press the “Manual” or “Pressure Cook” button. Using the “+” and “-” buttons, set the time to zero minutes.

Once the cooking time is elapsed, press “Cancel."

Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then release any remaining pressure manually.

Press the “Keep Warm” button, stir in the liqueur and honey, and garnish with strips of citrus zest or nutmeg.

Serve to friends in pretty mugs and begin the festivities!
