Ferguson: Five years on

It's been five years since the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager by police in the US city of Ferguson.

But the legacy of the tragic incident is as pressing as ever...

Hundreds of people have been laying flowers at a makeshift memorial to Michael Brown... and a minute's silence was also held.

Although it's been calm this weekend - a similar vigil soon after the killing in 2014 turned into state-wide rioting against police brutality and racism in America - and some argue little has changed since then.

A correspondent for RT America has spoken personally with Michael Brown's father. He's adamant the case against the officer who killed his son, must be reopened.
