A mother and young daughter who helped whistleblower Edward Snowden hide in Hong Kong arrived in Canada after being granted refugee status. Vanessa Rodel is one of seven asylum seekers who housed Snowden who was wanted by U.S. authorities for leaking highly classified documents about government surveillance programs. The Rodels were helped by private sponsors and plan to settle in Montreal.
