Former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe has told CBS News that top US Department of Justice (DOJ) officials had meetings in 2017 to discuss removing President Donald Trump from office.

McCabe said the move was considered because he and colleagues were so alarmed by Trump's decision to fire then-director of FBI, James Comey.
