EU Says No To Theresa May About Brexit

LONDON — Theresa May's demand to re-open negotiations on her Brexit deal has been officially rejected by the EU, after the prime minister traveled to Brussels on Thursday morning. In a joint statement released by the prime minister and European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker on Thursday, the two leaders confirmed that the Withdrawal Agreement was not up for renegotiation. "President Juncker underlined that the EU27 will not reopen the Withdrawal Agreement, which represents a carefully balanced compromise between the European Union and the UK, in which both sides have made significant concessions to arrive at a deal," they said in a statement.
