During the first stop of her four-day Africa trip, White House Senior Advisor Ivanka Trump toured the female-run Muya Clothing Company in Addis Ababa on Sunday.
Ivanka Trump was accompanied by Sara Abera, founder of Muya, and later tried her hand at weaving in the textile manufacturing facilities.
US President Donald Trump's daughter also visited a coffee shop, where she praised the country for being "the diplomatic capital of Africa" and "the home of coffee's origin."
Ivanka is promoting the Global Development and Prosperity Initiative (WGDP) on her trip which has "allowing women to prosper in the workplace" as one of its three main goals.
She will visit Ivory Coast in the second half of her trip.
