At least 13 people were injured after two trains collided in the Egyptian capital on Thursday.

"When we saw the second train, we found the two collided trains. Inside them are injured and serious cases, but thank god there are no deaths," said a witness.

Egyptian Transport Minister Kamel Al-Wazir was also present on the site of the crash.

The incident, which did not claim any lives, reportedly took place due to unstable weather conditions with heavy rains.

According to media, railways movement were suspended after the collision.
