Hundreds of mourners expressed their condolences to the family of the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak at the Mosque of the Field Marshal Tantawi in Cairo on Friday, hours after he was laid to rest.

Dozens of high-profile public figures, including the members of Mubarak's government, attended the ceremony.

Mubarak was ousted during the 2011 revolution, after ruling the country for three decades. He was acquitted in a trial on charges of corruption and complicity in the killing of protesters in March 2017.
