Arab foreign ministers affirmed that Jerusalem must be the capital of a future Palestine state during a meeting following the inauguration of the 149th Session of the Arab League in Cairo on Wednesday.

“The peace we seek must adhere to the internationally agreed terms of reference for the negotiations between the parties. Such negotiations will have a specific time frame for the establishment of a Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital,” stated Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul-Gheit.
