Hundreds of people protested against the economic policies of Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno in Quito on Friday, as he celebrated his second year in office with a speech in front of Congress.

During his speech, Moreno said he would propose the establishment of a humanitarian visa for Venezuelan citizens in order to "allow a secure and ordered migration."

Moreno has been facing a corruption probe advanced by an opposition lawmaker relating to an offshore company. The Ecuadorian president denounced accusations as being part of a smear campaign against him.
