Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno presented Manchester United veteran Antonio Valencia with the National Order of Merit in Quito on Tuesday.
In a ceremony at the presidential palace, Valencia received his award - the second highest civilian honour in Ecuador - in recognition of his services to football. Afterwards, the football star handed Moreno the shirt he wore in his final game at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Valencia, 33, spent a decade in Manchester, racking up 25 goals and 339 appearances. He eventually captained the side, leading them to UEFA Europa League success.
At a press conference, the football star refused to be drawn on his future plans, instead choosing to focus on Ecuador's forthcoming Copa America campaign.
