Dozens are marching for peace in Kabul after the Taliban refused to extend a ceasefire. The protesters walked side-by-side through the Afghan capital, shouting for reconciliation.
President Ashraf Ghani had hoped to halt the hostilities beyond Sunday. Government forces say they won't launch any attacks for another ten days. After three days of calm, the Taliban resumed launching attacks.
It rejected the truce after a suicide bombing killed at least 18 people in the eastern part of the country.
