On Wednesday, Virginia Democratic Senator Mark Warner called for an investigation into the recent cyber hack of Equifax, the credit reporting agency. According to reports, Warner requested an investigation by the Federal Trade Commission into the firm's cybersecurity practices, as well as the company's response to consumers who were potentially impacted by the hack. Last week, Equifax reported a massive data breach, saying personal details, including names and Social Security numbers, of more than 143 million customers were potentially accessed by hackers from May to July this year.
