de Blasio Drops Out Of Presidential Race

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Friday that he is ending his presidential campaign.

"I feel like I've contributed all I can to this primary election and it's clearly not my time".

De Blasio worked to present himself as the most progressive candidate in the crowded field of Democrats.

According to CNN, he used his time on the national stage to question views he felt were out of step with the Democratic Party.

In the end, however, De Blasio was unable to convince liberal Democrats that he was the most qualified candidate.

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, are currently leading the field.
