Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades in Nicosia on Monday, as part of his first official visit to another country as Prime Minister.

"Greece and Cyprus face challenges in the wider area united and with a seamless front," Mitsotakis said.

"When Greece is strong Cyprus is strong and Hellenism everywhere is strong" Mitsotakis added after Anastasiades called Greece "the crutch of the weak, the crutch of the injured."

Footage shows the two leaders attending a military ceremony outside the Presidential Palace in Nicosia.
