The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall arrived in Havana on Sunday, becoming the first members of the British royal family to make an official visit to Cuba.

The royal couple touched down at the airport for the latest stop on their 12-day tour of the Caribbean and were greeted by Cuba's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ana Teresita Gonzalez.

They participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial of Cuba's national hero, essayist and poet Jose Marti, before heading to an official dinner hosted by the country's president.

It's the first trip by a member of the British royal family to Cuba after the country's 1959 socialist revolution.
