Daugereaux was breastfeeding her baby at Nessler pool when staff approached her and told her to stop, after an argument the Texas City police arrived. Is it legal to breastfeed in public? Under Texas law, it is legal to breastfeed in public. In protest many moms supported Daugereaux with a nurse-in where they all were breastfeeding in public.
