Turns out most job seekers want to score careers in the technology field.
Take it from a new ranking from jobs site LinkedIn.
If you need me to spell it out for you, Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is where most people want to work.
It topped LinkedIn’s 4th annual “Top Companies” ranking.
Facebook followed and took second place.
And Salesforce came out in fourth place.
A few others in the top 50 list where the U.S. wants to work now
Include media companies like Comcast NBCUniversal, and entertainment giants like Netflix and The Walt Disney Company.
Other job seekers wanted to hop behind the wheel with Uber and Lyft, while Apple attracted a bunch of prospective employees.
LinkedIn’s ranking is based on four categories: Interest in the company, which is clocked by how many people follow the company’s LinkedIn page even if they aren’t working there, according to MarketWatch.
Then there’s engagement with employees, which means when people don’t work at a company they have their eye on, they spy on current employees on LinkedIn.
Finally, there’s employee retention.
And with big company money comes big company perks.
Free food goes a long way to make employees stay.
