"Colin Kaepernick's agent released a statement on Thursday reaffirming the former 49ers quarterback's desire to play in the NFL.
Kaepernick's team sent out a two-page document intending to "set the record straight" on the "many false narratives in the media regarding [Kaepernick]."
The document confirmed Kaepernick is still allowed to seek employment after filing a grievance against the NFL. His former 49ers teammate, Eric Reid, filed the same grievance and is currently employed by the Panthers. It also addressed how Kaepernick has not been offered a job since 2016 when he began kneeling during the national anthem as a means of protesting racial inequality and police brutality.
The statement answered other questions about Kaepernick's attempts to keep playing in the NFL."*
