China resorts to WTO to impose sanctions on US goods

China has asked for the WTO's authorization to impose an annual sanction on US goods worth seven billion US dollars. According to a WTO document, China's request has been sent to the Dispute Settlement Body, citing the US' failure to comply with the body's rulings. So far, China considers that "no substantive effort and progress has been made" by the US to fulfill its obligations provided by the rulings.
