Hundreds of thousands of Muslims in China - possibly millions - are being held in vast secure facilities, even though they've committed no crime nor faced any trial. The BBC has been given rare access to some of the sprawling complexes in the western region of Xinjiang. People there have apparently been detained for months or even years - simply for wearing a veil, praying frequently, or just communicating with relatives overseas.
