China will continue to create a more attractive environment for foreign investment, said the spokesperson for Chinese Ministry of Commerce Gao Feng in Beijing on Thursday, the first day of high-level trade talks between China and US officials.
Gao said: "In January, China's exports to the US, the EU and Japan have increased by 1.9 percent, 20.5 percent and 10.3 percent respectively."
"Since last year, we have been continuously improving our business environment. The improvement is inseparable from the efforts we've made in creating a more attractive environment for foreign investment," Gao added.
But the spokesperson did not release details of the country's trade talks with the US delegation, headed by US Secretary of Treasury Steven Mnuchin and Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer.
