Hong Kong's top judge says plans have been made to expedite the high volume of cases related to the ongoing protests. Chief Justice Geoffrey Ma Tao-li made the remarks in a speech on Monday to open the new Legal Year. Ma said a task group has been set up to look into those cases. He also said the rights set out in the city's Basic Law and Bill of Rights have been exercised, including freedoms of speech, association, assembly and demonstration.
