According to a report by Business Insider, on Wednesday, a Canadian government agency warned that talcum powder can cause ovarian cancer, four months after 22 women won 4.7 billion dollars from a talc manufacturer in court. Environment and Climate Chance Canada set out the concerns, claiming that some recent studies 'have consistently reported a positive association with ovarian cancer and perineal talc exposure." The warning cited 29 studies on the link between ovarian cancer and baby powder, claiming that 21 of those found a 'possible, or positive' relationship between talc and cancer.
