Cameron Boyce’s Descendant’s co-stars and director just sat down for their first TV interview since he tragically passed away.

How’s it going everyone? It’s Sussan Mourad here with Clevver News and since Cameron Boyce passed away on July 6th after suffering a fatal epileptic seizure, his Descendants co-stars have been taking the time they need to process the unexpected tragedy.

Dove Cameron, Boo Boo Stewart, Sofia Carson, and the film’s director Kenny Ortega just sat down with Good Morning America for their first interview ahead of the Descendents 3 premiere this Friday August 2nd.

The shell-shocked group was laughing and crying as they remembered their dear friend and co-star.

Sofia even joined via facetime while in Toronto where she is currently working to talk about her love for Cameron.

Dove also added quote, “I think that as absolutely heartbreaking as this one is, it is a personal loss for so many young people who watch Disney. And I truly think the best thing we can do for them is to remember Cameron exactly as he was — in the most positive light– but not to avoid it.”

And that’s exactly what they are doing.

In the interview, they revealed that Descendents 3 will be dedicated to Cameron and the movie will be followed by a tribute video for him.

And as painful as this interview was to watch, it also brought so much joy because of how they each light up when talking about their friend and co-star.

The director, Kenny Ortega shared exactly how he remembers Cameron.

He said quote, “When he walked into the room the light changed, and the energy shifted. Even when he was standing still. He was bioluminescent. He was lit from the inside out.”

It truly doesn’t get more accurate or beautiful than that.

Cameron will certainly be remembered for all of the joy he brought us and we will certainly be tuning in Friday for the premiere of Descendants 3.

Thank you guys so much for watching, and I’ll see you next time.
