The frontrunner in the race to become the UK's next prime minister has been ordered to court over allegations he lied to the public during the Brexit referendum campaign.

Boris Johnson had famously claimed that the UK sent 440 million dollars a week to the EU - and that Brexit would allow that money to be spent on public health services.

But opponents say that number was demonstrably false and deliberately misleading.
