Big expectations on China-U.S. trade talks

Members of the U.S. delegation have arrived in Beijing for a new round of high-level economic and trade consultations. From February 14 to 15, Chinese Vice Premier Liu He will hold consultations with U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in Beijing. Building on the recent talks in Washington, the two sides will again discuss issues of common concern. The ongoing consultations are a re-examination of trade ties; whether the two sides will go in the same direction. In this regard, Tian Wei talked to Yuan Peng, president of the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations. This is part of our special series "An Updated Vision" – a review and outlook of China's diplomatic strategies. #china#us#trade
