European Union's Foreign Affairs Chief Federica Mogherini said that the EU hopes for "significant pledges" for Syria, while speaking to reporters ahead of a donor conference in Brussels on Thursday.
According to Mogherini, Syrians must "not to be forgotten in a moment where the international community seems to care a little bit less about this."
"We gather here so many from all around the world to say - we have to keep focused on a political solution for the conflict in Syria, it's not over yet. People need our support," the top diplomat noted.
Mogherini made this remark upon her arrival for the second day of the Conference on Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region, with around 55 countries and 80 delegations attending the event.
