Scores of people were detained at an unauthorised protest against corruption and low salaries in Baku on Saturday.

Footage shows the police detaining protesters at the start of the rally and shoving them to police vehicles. Opposition leader Ali Karimli was also among the detained.

Baku city police released an official statement saying that 60 protesters were detained with 42 participants released after a warning.

The law enforcement also momentarily shut down three metro stations in the Azerbaijani capital.
