Former Bolivian president Evo Morales announced his socialist party's candidates for the country's May 3 elections at a press conference in Buenos Aires on Sunday.
Morales named Luis Arce Catacora as the Movement to Socialism's (MAS) presidential candidate and David Choquehuanca as vice president.
The exiled leader currently living in asylum in Argentina said, "It is a combination between scientific, economic and original knowledge as well as scientific knowledge to advance our process."
He further added that "this combination between city mates and country mates is to continue our process of change."
Morales fled Bolivia to Mexico in November under pressure from the armed forces following unrest over the allegations of controversial presidential election results. After a few weeks in Mexico, he was granted asylum in Argentina.
