According to Business Insider, An American Airlines flight made an emergency landing on Wednesday night. Flight AA10 was flying from Los Angeles International Airport to John F. Kennedy in New York, but diverted to Phoenix's Sky Harbor Airport.
The Airbus A321 landed after one hour and 36 minutes of the five and a half hour cross country flight. Passenger Terron Austin tweeted: "Sudden burst of smoke followed by an announcement to immediately prepare for landing." American Airlines confirmed the unscheduled landing and said it was investigating reports of smoke.
