Airbus Delivers Masks From France to Spain

A Spanish military aircraft transported face masks from France to Spain, to provide more equipment to Spanish health workers amid the coronavirus outbreak, Monday, March 23.

The cargo was part of about 2 million protective masks that were transported to Europe over the weekend, onboard an Airbus a330-800 from Tianjin, China.

After landing at Getafe air base in Madrid, members of the Spanish military helped offloading boxes of masks before they were sent on to the Ministry of Defense.

Spain announced 6,584 new coronavirus infections Tuesday, bringing the overall total to 39, 673. The number of deaths also jumped by a record number of 514 to 2,696.
