The two week US-led multinational military exercise 'Eager Lion 2019' came to a close at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Centre, in Zarqa Governorate, on Thursday.

Director of Training and Exercises at US Central Command, Maj. Gen. Bradley Swanson told the press that 'Eager Lion 2019' was not only "good quality training," but also important as a "great partnership" and cultural exchange experience.

Mohammad Snowji, the spokesman for the exercise, added that the Kingdom of Jordan, through the exercise, shared the message that its army is powerful enough to protect the nation and their allies from anyone who "may harm the safety and security of the Kingdom or its allies and friends."

The multilateral training exercise 'Eager Lion 2019' kicked off on August 25th and included more than 8,000 troops from 30 allied countries.
