Croatia's retail sales in May up 3.9% y-o-y

Retail sales in Croatia increased by 3.9% in real terms and by 1.3% in nominal terms in May 2016 compared with May 2015, the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS) said on Wednesday, confirming its initial estimate.

Retail sales in March up 3.5%, less than expected

Retail sales in Croatia in March 2016, compared with March 2015, rose by 3.5% in  which was faster than the previous month but slower than economic analysts expected, figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS) on Tuesday show.

Retail sales in Croatia in January 2016 increased by 1.6% in nominal terms and by 2.9% in real terms in comparison with January 2015, the 18th month in a row that retail sales have been increasing, the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS) said on Monday.

Consumption in December soars 4.8 pct, highest increase in 8 yrs

Retail sales in Croatia in December 2015 grew by 4.8% on the year, which is the highest increase of consumption in more than 8 years and the 17th month in a row to see a consumption increase.

Consumption increases 3.2% in November

The growth rate is faster than the month before, when consumption grew 1.5% on the year, and it is much higher than expected.

Consumption up for 15 straight months

This is also the 15th consecutive month to record a public consumption growth , which has not been recorded since 2007.
