Croatia's industrial producer prices down for 39 straight months

Industrial producer prices in Croatia fell by 5.5% in July 2016 compared with July 2015, which is the 39th consecutive month that they have decreased on the annual level, according to figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS) on Friday.

Average net salary for November 2015 at EUR 770

The average monthly net salary paid in Croatia for November 2015 was HRK 5,855, which was an increase of 2.4 per cent in nominal terms and of 2.7 per cent in real terms compared with October 2015, figures from the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS) show.

Unemployment up for four straight months to 17.9%

The unemployment rate had been on the decline until September thanks to seasonal hiring in tourism.

November sees 58% increase in visits by foreign cruise ships

On the 41 trips foreign cruise ships brought 62,300 passengers, or 26.5 per cent more than last year. They spent a total of 77 days in Croatia, which was 83.3 per cent more than in November 2014.

Survey unemployment rate in Q3 2015 down to 15.4 pct

The number of unemployed persons in the third quarter of 2015 was 297,000, or 7,000 fewer than in the third quarter of 2014.

Croatian agricultural and food exports up 19%

"Despite the increase in imports, the positive thing is that the increase in the negative balance has finally been slowed down. We expect data for 2015 to show positive trends in relation to 2014, including a decrease in the negative balance,"

Volume of construction work down for three straight months

It was the third month in a row that the volume of construction work had shrunk, following drops of 1.6 per cent in September and of 0.5 per cent in August. In July it increased by 0.4 per cent.

Croatia's exports in first ten months up 10.8 pct

Foreign trade deficit at the end of October amounted to HRK 44.75 billion, which is 1.6% less on the year.

Croatia's exports increase faster than imports

Initial data, released in early November, indicated that exports in the first nine months of the year had gone up by 10.5 per cent and imports by 5.5 per cent.

Consumption up for 15 straight months

This is also the 15th consecutive month to record a public consumption growth , which has not been recorded since 2007.

Number of industrial sector workers down

Work productivity in the first nine months of 2015 increased by 3.2 per cent compared with the same period in 2014.

Average net monthly salary for September at HRK 5,640

Compared with September 2014, the average net monthly salary was HRK 198 or 3.64 per cent higher, mostly owing to changes to the income tax rates at the start of the year.
