Zagreb archbishop urges demographic revival, preservation of Catholic tradition

The Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanic, conducted a mass in the Marian shrine of Marija Bistrica on Monday, the Feast of the Assumption, calling for demographic revival, preservation of the Catholic tradition and for building reliable legal and legislative systems so that Croatian nationals were no longer tried abroad.

Croatian President Grabar-Kitarovic ends visit to Medjugorje

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic on Sunday ended her visit to the Marian shrine of Medjugorje in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, spending the last day of her stay rafting along the river Neretva, the Bosnian edition of the Vecernji List daily reported.

Croatia could attract 500,000 pilgrims for the Feast of the Assumption

The tourism ministry said in a press release on Friday that more than 500,000 pilgrims could visit Marian shrines around the country on the Feast of the Assumption and Minister Anton Kliman believes that religious tourism has great potential for development.
