The youngest Palestinian child prisoners are:
- Shadi Farrah and his friend Ahmed Zaatari, both 12 when caught in December. Palestinians say they "snuck over" the East Jerusalem security wall just to "hang out" and "have a look around." Israel says they were caught at a light railway station carrying knives. They have both been charged with planning an attack and possession of knives.
- Cousins Muawiya and Ali Alqam, 14 and 12, were 13 and 11 when they stabbed and moderately injured an Israeli security guard inside a Jerusalem light railway in November, according to security cameras, witnesses and hospital officials.
Muawiya said it was revenge in the name of a cousin who was shot dead during an attack near Jerusalem's Damascus Gate, according to his lawyer, who reportedly has reached a plea bargain under which Muawiya would serve a sentence of six and a half years. The plea bargain is expected to be officially announced in July. Ali was being held at a juvenile rehabilitation centre.
- Ahmed Manasra, now 14, was 13 when he and a 15-year-old cousin - according to security cameras, witnesses and hospital officials - stabbed and seriously injured two Israelis in an East Jerusalem settlement in October. Manasra was convicted of two counts of attempted murder in May, and is awaiting a sentence. His cousin was shot dead during the knife attack.
The youngest Palestinian girl ever held by Israel, Dima al-Wawi, was released in April after 75 days in detention.
