VW chief apologizes to Obama for emissions scandal

Volkswagen chief executive Matthias Mueller says he apologized to US President Barack Obama for his company's emissions-rigging scandal.

Mueller says he apologized to Obama for "the matter at hand."

The two met recently at the industrial trade fair in Hanover, Germany.
