Two reported dead, 17 injured, after shooting in Florida club

Two were reported dead and up to 17 injured after a shooting at a Fort Myers, Florida nightclub early Monday, reported local broadcaster WINK, citing local police.

A party for teenagers had been under way when the attack began, the broadcaster reported. It cited witnesses saying they had heard up to 30 gunshots. One described the scene as a "mad house."

Authorities have released no official statement about the attack. WINK reported that a large number of officers remained at the site.
