Trump cancels Chicago rally citing security concerns

US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump cancels a campaign rally in Chicago because of concern over security.

Trump's campaign issues a statement saying Trump met with law enforcement in Chicago before deciding to cancel the rally "for the safety of all of the tens of thousands of people that have gathered in and around the arena."

Prior to the campaign rally the number of protesters outside the venue had grown throughout the afternoon, according to news reports.

Fights between Trump supporters and protesters broke out after the rally was canceled, CNN reported.
