Syrian ambassador in Russia: US airstrike hit hospital

The Syrian ambassador in Russia says the United States Air Force performed an airstrike that hit a Doctors Without Borders (MSF) hospital in northern Syria.

"In fact, the hospital was destroyed by the US Air Force. The Russian air force is in no way connected with this," Ambassador Riad Haddad says, according to the Interfax news agency.

On Monday, the charity Doctors Without Borders said seven people, including five patients, were killed when the hospital in Maarat al-Nuaman was hit by several missiles.
